Hey there! I'm Victoria, and I've been a hostess since I was a kid.

My love for bringing people together really grew when I planned my first ever event — my Mom's surprise 50th birthday party when I was 16 (thanks for the budget, Dad!). When I saw her face light up as she walked into that room full of her favorite people, I was hooked.

In college, I kept that passion alive, planning events for my sorority, Delta Gamma, and tailgates every home game. Then in law school, despite the studying, I also coordinated our Women's Law Caucus Auction — a night of fun, connections, and most importantly raising more than $65,000, almost 10 times the previous year's total!

I'm originally from Houston, but I moved to Washington, DC, in 2014 and have called the DMV area home ever since. My career in politics and consulting has taken me across the country, including New Hampshire, Michigan, Massachusetts, and Texas, where I have managed people, processes, press, and events for numerous candidates and organizations, and later at McKinsey & Company. But I always find myself drawn back to this area because it truly feels like home.

After over a decade of my passion for hosting in my personal life, and event management weaving its way into my professional life, Your Modern Host was born. While I'm based in Washington, DC, I'm eager to travel wherever you need me to create something magical.

I love bringing people together, fostering deep conversations, and building strong connections. People often leave events I've hosted with new friendships, sometimes dates, and even once a new job!

We all crave connection and meaningful interaction, and I'm here to take all the stress out of hosting while giving you the confidence to create whatever event you're dreaming about. Whether it's a dinner party in DC, a housewarming in Northern Virginia, a bachelor/bachelorette celebration in Maryland, a first birthday party, client dinner, or office holiday party — the sky is the limit!
